Haydock Male Voice Choir is a 70 strong choir based in the Metropolitan Borough of St Helens which was formed more than 80 years ago in the small mining village of Haydock. It has throughout the years become known for its high standard of performance in concerts and in choral competitions.This standard of performance is attributable to its members who are prepared to attend two rehearsals a week.Furthermore, the choir has been very fortunate to have been led by a succession of superb conductors and accompanied by accomplished pianists. At the present time, we are delighted to feature two very talented young pianists as our Accompanists benefitting not only from their skill on the piano but because of their willingness to play solo spots at our concerts.

Haydock MVC performs about 18-20 concerts a year, usually within 25 miles of its home base but it does travel regularly throughout the UK to perform. Trips abroad have been a regular feature of its life for the last 30 years - visiting Germany on 9 occasions, France (and the Isle of Man!) with 3 long haul visits to the USA.
