Haydock Male Voice Choir win the coveted Ainsworth Cup at the Isle of Man Music Festival
Haydock Male Voice Choir is a 70 strong choir based in St Helens which has become known for its high standard of performance in concerts and in choral competitions. This is attributable in large measure, to its members who are prepared to rehearse two evenings a week. Furthermore, the choir has been very fortunate to have been led by a succession of superb conductors and accompanied by accomplished pianists. At the present time, the choir is delighted to feature two very talented young pianists who are also happy to play solo spots at our concerts.
Haydock MVC performs about 18-20 concerts a year, usually within 25 miles of its home base but it does travel regularly throughout the UK to perform. Trips abroad have been a regular feature of its life for the last 30 years - visiting Germany on 9 occasions, the south of France and the Isle of Man with 3 visits to the west coast of the USA.
