Jenny Durbin was born in Brighton in 1985 and began studying the piano at the age of five. When she moved with her family to Lincoln, she became a regular on the Music Festival circuit, winning several awards over the years. At just 16 Jenny was awarded a place at the prestigious Chetham's School of Music, Manchester, where she studied with Peter Lawson. She then gained a place at the Royal Northern College of Music, studying piano with John Gough. Graduating in 2008 with an Honours degree, she then took a postgraduate course, in piano accompaniment with David Jones.
