Alan Herbert

Today; a representation of Haydock Male Voice Choir will attend the funeral of our former conductor Alan Herbert. Alan expected a lot from the choir-albeit in an encouraging way. The result was a choir that saw its reputation acknowledged through the quality of its musicality. Alan’s skills and talents were not exclusive to HMVC-many people (audiences and choirs alike) witnessed and appreciated the fruits of Alan’s labours. “A beautiful colorful rainbow could not exist if it were not for the rain of a grey day – it was born from the very droplets of it.” Rest in peace Alan, and Thank You for the pleasure given to a great many people whose lives you entered.Alan Herbert
