A Year of Renewal Recognition and Remarkable Achievement

January–December 2025

Haydock Male Voice Choir has closed 2025 with a sense of pride, purpose and renewed energy. Over the past twelve months, the choir has not only strengthened its musical reputation but also expanded its reach, deepened its community impact and laid firm foundations for an ambitious future.

A Full and Successful Concert Season

Across the year, the choir delivered twelve successful concerts, each one

demonstrating the ensembles growing confidence and artistic quality. These

performances ranged from intimate community events to large‑scale collaborations and workshops with visiting composers from across the country. This culminated in a landmark achievement: a solo concert at Britains largest cathedral, a moment that showcased the choir’s sound in one of the countrys most iconic acoustic spaces.

A particular highlight of the season was the Christmas Hot Pot, which sold out in just ten days. The event featured a record number of solo, duo and trio performances from within the choir, shining a spotlight on the depth of talent across the membership. This celebration of individual artistry, set within a warm and festive atmosphere, has quickly become one of the choirs most cherished annual traditions, which is hoped to be made even bigger in 2026.

Looking Ahead to 2026

The momentum built in 2025 is already shaping an exciting year ahead. Haydock MVC has seven concerts confirmed up to October 2026, with additional engagements awaiting final confirmation. Among these is a particularly prestigious invitation: a performance at the Minster Ceremony for St Helen’s Parish Church, a significant honour that reflects the choirs consistently strong profile within our community.

With a strengthened membership, new artistic partnerships and a clear vision for the

future, Haydock Male Voice Choir enters 2026 with confidence and purpose.
